Course Overview:

As a CI® Certified Home & Property Inspector student you will receive a quality, working education in one of today's most popular construction fields. Topics will include: Practical industry standards and Florida code application; all aspects of the inspection process; Florida accessibility standards; liability considerations and risk management; as well as hands-on training with many of the necessary tools required for proper home inspection. Upon completion of this course, you will have gained the knowledge to competently identify and assess existing conditions and recommend proper -- and often times -- immediate necessary repair. Successful completion of this training program will require passing a competency examination with a score of at least 75%.

NOTE: This certificate does NOT fulfill the requirement to become a standard Inspector as licensed thru the Building Code Administrators Board. Click here for BuildingOfficial.org


Continuing Education Credits:

Florida Contractors licensed under the CILB will receive 14 hours of Continuing Education Credit. Florida Electricians licensed under the ECLB will receive 14 hours of Continuing Education Credit. Florida Engineers will receive 11 hours of Related Continuing Education Credit.
Architects will receive 11 hours of continuing education credit.


CI® Certification:

In order to obtain the CI® Certification designation of CI®-HPI, candidates must successfully pass a proctored competency exam requiring a minimum score of 75%.

Course Cost:

The Fee for this Course is $330, which includes; 2 days of classroom instruction with the CI® Certified Instruction staff (classroom instruction will also count for your Continuing Education credits for the upcoming renewal cycle- see above approval information), your CI® Certified Home and Property Inspector Reference Manual, your CI® Certified HPI Examination, and lunch for both days.
